Compadres
Long before we opened our doors… Before foundations were ever poured, before walls went up and paint was slapped on… back when RPPC was just an idea, we had enthusiastic folks jumping on board in support. A number of folks took a huge leap of faith in our crazy idea and helped make the camp happen. We’re forever indebted to them. It’s no coincidence that they represent some of the finest folks in the fly fishing world. They deserve not just our thanks, but reciprocity of support. They are our compadres, through and through.
WorldWide Fly Works, Jensen Beach FL
You would be hard pressed to find an individual more enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and experiences in fly fishing than Rex Hannon. Rather uniquely, this is done without an ounce of ego. Rex shares because he wants you to have fun and succeed. Just at home on the flats of FL as he is on the chalk streams of PA (or in a garage tearing down a Harley panhead) Rex and his shop are an encyclopedia of knowledge and bastion of enthusiasm. Anyone and everyone fishing anywhere near Central Florida should drop him a line.
Lillard Fly Fishing Expeditions, Pisgah Forest, NC
Anyone who dedicates their life to introducing the wonders of the outdoors to teens/youth is nothing short of a hero in our book. Will Lillard, and the programs at Lillard Fly Fishing Expeditions does just that. The next generation of conservationists, stewards and ardent fly fishermen and women start right here.
Deerfield Fly Shop, Deerfield MA
Western Massachusetts might not be the first place that comes to mind when you think of brook trout, big wild browns, a mix of classic tailwaters, freestone rivers and scenic gorges (in addition to smallies, pike, carp and stripers.) You’re missing out though if you don’t take the opportunity to explore this gorgeous area whenever you find yourself in the North East. Brian and his Deerfield Fly Shop have you covered when it comes exploring this neck of the woods.
Elk RIver Guide Co, Fernie, BC, Canada
Few folks know the rivers of the Kootenays as well as Paul and his guides at the Elk River Guiding Co. If chasing big wild cutthroat in some of the most picturesque terrain and water you can imagine is your thing, you’ve travelled to the right place! If battling big (30”-40”) aggressive bull trout is also your thing, you’ve also travelled to the right place!
Fish Tales Fly Shop, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
High in the Canadian Rockies, in the Wapta Icefield, meltwater from the Bow Glacier creates the Bow Lake… water then flows out of Bow Lake and forms the Bow River, a river the has a length of over 360 miles, a drainage area of over 10,000 square miles and which ultimately winds through Calgary, a city of 1.5 million people, as it heads to the Canadian prairies. This lower stretch of the Bow is home to a huge population of nothing short of trophy size rainbow and brown trout. Who knew this all existed???!!!
Dave & Nancy and their guides at Fish Tales that’s who.
For nearly 30 years, Fish Tales Fly Shop has been the cornerstone of fly fishing The Bow. You won’t find friendlier folks more willing to share decades of expertise.
